Star [*] Duo going for 5 in a row; can you "Beat their Streak" Saturday?

    Day #17 (Saturday)

Beat the Streak for May:  cwallace and Sawyer at 4-0

Beat the Streak for April: JWhip 7-0

Beat the Streak for March: Tajulia & Trenchcoatmafia both 7-0

    2008 Grand Champion Streak (YTD):
    westcoastfishdoc 9-0

Official Rules (open to change and/or edit per my discretion):

    ADDED RULES FOR NHL/MLB:

Moneylines on MLB and NHL up to -130
    Pucklines/Runlines up to -130
MLB and NHL totals up to -130
    FULL GAMES ONLY!

Contest will run per calendar month.

    One selection per day

You can use the same selection as another player EXCEPT in the event of a tiebreaker contest. At this point, you can not take the same game selection. You could pick the total if they pick the side and vice versa.

Sides/Totals only (full games, no moneylines)

Must use the official lines from Pregame Live Lines

After making 1st selection, allowed ONE PASS per calendar week (Monday-Sunday)

Contest is self moderating, so you must grade and update your selections daily

Once a game loses, the current streak will be logged and they will start over the following day. So say I go 3-0 and lose my 4th game, my streak would be 3. On the 5th day I would make another selection and start fresh with the possibility of topping my 3-0.

In the event of a tie at the end of the month, the posters who are tied will continue making selections DAILY (the ability to skip a day as in the general contest will not apply) until someone wins. The selections will count toward the tiebreaker AND the current month's contest. So if two people are 7-0 and going into the following month, the selections count toward the tiebreaker AND starting a new streak for the current month.

All streaks conclude at the end of the current contest month and will not continue into the new contest month. IE, so if you are 8-0 at the end and win on the 1st of March, the streak is 1-0, not 9-0. But feel free to mention it in your post!

    Format to post (MUST USE):

    Current Streak:
    Longest Streak:
    Selection with line: Pistons -10
    Analysis: (not required)

    So for example:

    Current Streak: 2-0
    Longest Streak: 5-0
    Selection: Pistons
    Analysis: blah blah blah

All disputes must be emailed to me directly at johnny@pregame.com.

There will be one winner per calendar month and than the Grand Champion for all of 2008.

The Grand Champion will be the forum member with the longest streak overall streak. The monthly contest will be decided each calendar month, but the 2008 Grand Champion will be the longest overall streak in 2008. In the event a streak is ongoing at the end of a calendar month, for purpose of crowning the Grand Champion anyone 5-0 of better at this point will have their ongoing selections tracked in a seperate thread. For example, someone is 7-0 when the month ends. They will be 0-0 at the start of the new month for the monthly Beat the Streak, but the 7-0 will continue with the next months selections for qualifications for the Grand Champion. Any questions on this, please email me directly at Johnny@pregame.com.
