    Joe Horn to the Cowboys?

    Thought this was interesting...

    Joe Horn to Cowboys?

Posted on Friday 27 June 2008

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network is reporting that Joe Horn has become option 1A in Dallas if Terry Glenn doesnt agree to sign an injury settlement. Horn wants out of Atlanta and the Cowboys might be willing to give up a late round pick to acquire the aging wide out.

As usual, Horn was banged up again last year, but his lack of production was mostly because Bobby Petrinos game plans were completely overmatched. Lining up opposite of Terrell Owens in Jason Garretts offense would certainly do wonders for Horn, but theres no doubt hes lost a step of the years and is always an injury concern.

Still, he would certainly have more of a fantasy impact in Dallas than he would in Atlanta, so monitor the situation closely as training camps get closer and closer.

I wouldn't mind this move. Horn is actually a pretty good guy. He may be a little bombastic but I've talked to him on a few occasions and he is a solid person. I know one thing, he's much more mentally stable than Glen. That guy is a freaking psycho. I will feel better when he's gone because he can cause a lot of trouble when he's not happy. I will gladly take this trade-off. Horn would be a much bigger factor in Dallas playing with T.O. and Witten than he was in Atlanta playing with me and you.

Not really a Horn fan or anything, but it's not bad. They need someone.

    Nevermind!

Jerry on Joe Horn: 'That's not correct'

    8:19 PM Fri, Jun 27, 2008

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones talked with ESPN during the Desperados' playoff game at American Airlines Center and shot down previous reports that the team is looking into Atlanta Falcons receiver Joe Horn.

"Yeah, that's not correct," Jones said. "I haven't expressed any interest there and haven't evaluated him. That's just not correct."

Looks like all that water cooler talk today was just that. The bigger issue still remains, though. The Cowboys will have to get Terry Glenn back in the fold or hope Miles Austin and Sam Hurd can step into the void.

If that statement right there is correct, it's a disgrace. Good teams evaluate every single available player, always trying to improve their roster. This just goes to show how clueless Jones is when it comes to being a GM. That statement is just plain idiotic and embarrassing. No team sits there and says, "We are all set. We don't need anyone else to improve out team." If Jones doesn't haven't scouts evaluating every single player available on the market, he should be ashamed of himself.
