Well the Oilers stung me in my parlays yesterday. I was a bit surprised at the loss. Edmonton hasn't lost to the Sens since 2022, and if memory serves me correctly, the two loss's came back to back, 2 weeks apart in January of that year. So up until last night, the Oilers were 7-2-0. Anyway, THAT'S HOCKEY EH! I actually turned a profit on the day by having a 4 game parlay, Colorado, Carolina, Dallas and Tampa Bay, and a 2 game parlay on Dallas and Tampa. Based on the teams I was playing, dumb ass me should of had a 3 gamer on Colorado, Dallas and Tampa. When I thought of it, it was to late to bet. Truthfully, the Avalanche got lucky, or I should say, I did.
Vegas Golden Knights Vs. St. Louis Blues.
A good Conference matchup, the Knights are 38-32 with 83 points on the season while the Blues are 38-33 with 79 points, four points behind for a Wild Card Spot. Vegas has won their last two, but against the sinking Krakens, losing their last eight and Columbus losing their last four. Vegas is 5-5-0 last 10. St. Louis has won their last two and are 6-4-0 last 10, but boasting a 6-1-0 in their last 7 games. The Knights will again be without Alex Pietrangelo on the D. Their road record sits at 15-14-5 on the season, losing 4 of their last 5, while the Blues are 21-12-1 at home, 6-4-0 last 10 winning their last two. Every time St. Louis comes to mind, I always remember the Cinderella story from the 2018/19 season when Binnington who was the Blues back-up goal keeper at the time, stepped in to replace Allen and took the Blues from dead last in the standings in January to win the Stanley cup. Something that will probably never happen again.
My Bet. St. Louis on the ML.
LA Kings Vs. Vancouver.
The Canucks can reach the 100 pt. mark with a win tonight and clinch their first playoff birth in four years. These clubs play tonight to decide the best of three. The Kings winning the first game on 2/29/24, a solid 5-1 performance and the Canucks winning 2-1 in OT in LA. on March 5th. Vancouver is, 7-1-1 last 9. DeSmith has been a big part of that making his 6th straight start tonight. His record for the month of March is, 4-1-1 with a 1.84 GAA and a .917 SV%. The Canucks have also been playing extremely well on the penalty kill, going 16 for 18, 88.9% this month. The Canucks are 23-7-4 at home. The Kings come in to tonight's game off a 4-3 OT win against Tampa bay on Saturday. LA are, 20-11-4 on the road and have won three in a row and four of their last five. 9 of the last 10 meetings between these two has seen the under hit. The Kings hold the second best under record in the league this year at 42-25. So I would expect a tight played, low scoring game.
