Rams Full Game -6 -110 ***
Rams Score First -140 **
First TD of game:
Henderson Jr + 700 *
Everett+1200 *
This game is interesting. Seems like the Bears are the everyone's sneaky pick as if they are finally buying into the Bears. Nobody can believe they are 5-1, but so they are hopping on the bandwagon That said, the more you dive into the stats between these two teams, the more the differences show.
Everyone talks about Chicago rushing the passer:
Rams 6th in sack %
Bears 15th
Off sack percentage
Rams 4th
Bears 11th
Yards per pass att
Rams 4th
Bears 29th
Def yards per pass attempt
Rams 1st
Bears 3rd
Off yards per rush
Rams 15th
Bears 28
Def yards per rush
Rams 15th 4.3
Bears 12th 3.4
Bottom line, is everything that the Bears do well, the Rams do just as well, or mostly better.
Perhaps some folks don't want to back the Rams tonight after thinking they were a good as gold against the Niners last week as 3 point road fav. Turns out, the Niners have figured their team out with Jimmy G back and working through their injuries.
Everyone is starting to say the Bears are for real. Records are what they are, but the Bears had to make two big time comebacks against two terrible teams known for giving up comebacks (Lions and Falcons.)
They beat the Panthers in turnovers 3-1 with a 7 yard TD drive, 48 and 38 yard fg drives. Panthers were stingy despite the turnovers. Chicago also had no sacks given up and we know that could change tonight.
Bears against Tampa and Ind (1 and 2 in def YPP) 269 yards/26 rush vs Ind and 243 yards/35 rush. You could argue Colts offense is stuck in the mud with Rivers and this was before the two breakout games for Brady when sharps were all over the Bears. This also had a Tampa fumble that allowed Chi to score a 2nd quick TD before the first half.
If Rams don't turn the ball over (Chicago slightly better TO margin, but Chicago throws more INT) then the Rams will cover this game.
Regarding Rams scoring first:
Before last game when the Niners opening Drive went for a TD, four previous teams had the ball first against the Rams. 3 Punts, and a fumble with the Rams scoring on the next drive (3/4 times. They missed the FG against the Bills.) Against the Cowboys, Rams took the opening drive for a TD, so they have scored first 4/6 games, with the opportunity to score first against the Bills
Bears:
Had ball 2x against Lions before giving up first score
Scored opening drive against Giants
Missed FG against Falcons, Falcons scored next
Colts scored first
Bucs opening FG
Panthers throw opening pick leads to short Bears TD
Give me the better offense when both defenses are similar.
I post the first TD prop because I passed on Seahawks scoring first and 2 players scoring first, including Lockett. I think Rams score first and Bears allow first TD to 3 RB, 2 TE and 1 WR
Rams RB have scored first 2x, TE 2x, 1 WR and Goff run
With Higbee questionable, Everett gets the nod with Higbee having a hand injury.
Tempted to go first quarter and half as well, but will pass for now.
All the best,
